Iraqi Kurdistan: scholarship funded for 10 young distressed people

The Archdiocese of Erbil, a city in Iraqi Kurdistan, where the Christian presence is numerous, has obtained funding from the Holy See for 10 scholarships aimed at young displaced persons to access and complete their university education in view of a future reconstruction of the country.

This is an important contribution to the normalization of Iraq; a sign of practical help to young Iraqis in the region, who still live with the nightmare of war and violence.
