Albania: financial support for poor families

In June 2020, the Holy Father destined an aid of 100,000 Euros to Albania for emergencies related to the Covid-19 epidemic, especially for families in difficulty. This aid was distributed in the dioceses through the Apostolic Nunciature.

Pope Francis visited Albania in 2014. On that occasion he met in Tirana not only the authorities, but also the leaders of other religions and Christian denominations, priests, religious, seminarians and lay movements; and a representation of people assisted by various charity centers. Furthermore, he celebrated Holy Mass in Mother Teresa Square.
