Romania: gift to the Suceava Hospital

On April 23 2020, the feast of St. George the Martyr, Pope Francis celebrated his name day with a donation of a number of ventilators and medical materials to hospitals in Spain, Romania and Italy, countries particularly affected by the coronavirus epidemic.

Thus to the city of SuceavaRomania, which had experienced the outbreak of the coronavirus, arrived from the Pope five latest generation ventilators and medical materials such as masks, protective glasses for doctors and nurses, and coveralls for intensive care.

A donation from Pope Francis, that arrived after the announcement of March 27, 2020 in response to the needs of various hospitals from all around the world. In fact, on that date, the Papal Almoner, Cardinal Konrad Krajewski, announced the donation of Pope Francis of 30 respirators, purchased in the previous days, destined for the intensive care units of the hospital structures that needed them most (for more information, click here).
