Spain: gift to the San Rafael Hospital in Madrid

In Madrid, the main place of the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic in Spain, Archbishop Bernardito Auza handed over to the San Rafael Hospital three respirators for intensive care and medical supplies, as a gift from Pope Francis to the hospital.

On April 23, the feast of St. George the martyr, Pope Francis, to celebrate his name-day, donated a number of ventilators and medical materials to hospitals in Spain, Romania and Italy, countries particularly affected by the coronavirus epidemic.

A donation from Pope Francis, that arrived after the announcement of March 27, 2020 in response to the needs of various hospitals from all around the world.
