This feast also marks the annual Peter’s Pence collection, which is a sign of communion with the Pope and participation in his apostolic ministry. I heartily thank all those who, with their gifts, support my first steps as the Successor of Peter.

 (Angelus, 29 June 2025)

A ministry of:

- Peace

Peace be with you all! (…) It is the peace of the risen Christ. A peace that is unarmed and disarming, humble and persevering. A peace that comes from God, the God who loves us all, unconditionally.

(First Blessing “Urbi et Orbi”, 8 May 2025)

To all of you, brothers and sisters in Rome, in Italy, throughout the world: we want to be a synodal Church, a Church that moves forward, a Church that always seeks peace, that always seeks charity, that always seeks to be close above all to those who are suffering.

(First Blessing “Urbi et Orbi”, 8 May 2025)

Dear young people, love one another! Love one another in Christ! Know how to see Jesus in others. Friendship can truly change the world. Friendship is a path to peace.

(Prayer Vigil with the young people, Tor Vergata 2 August 2025)

Peace is not something we must invent: it is something we must embrace by accepting our neighbor as our brother and as our sister. We do not choose our brothers and sisters: we simply must accept one another!

(Apostolic Journey to Camerun: Meeting for Peace with the Community of Bamenda, Cathedral of Saint Joseph 16 April 2026)

- Hope

My dear friends, united to Jesus, like branches to the vine, you will bear much fruit. You will be the salt of the earth and the light of the world. You will be seeds of hope where you live, in your families, among your friends, at school, at work, and in sports. You will be seeds of hope with Christ, our hope.

(Angelus, Tor Vergata 3 August 2025)

Amid life’s trials, our hope is inspired by the firm and reassuring certainty of God’s love, poured into our hearts by the Holy Spirit.

(Message for the 9th World Day of the Poor, 16 November 2025)

Without hope, we are dead; with hope, we come to the light. Hope is generative. Indeed, it is a theological virtue, that is, a strength of God, and as such it does not kill, but gives birth and rebirth.

(Jubilee Audience, 20 December 2025)

- Love

We are called to offer God’s love to everyone, in order to achieve that unity which does not cancel out differences but values the personal history of each person and the social and religious culture of every people.

(Holy Mass for the beginning of the pontificate, 18 May 2025)

Let us resolve to bring his love everywhere, never forgetting that each of our sisters and brothers is a dwelling place of God and that his presence is manifested above all in the little ones, in the poor and the suffering.”

(Regina Caeli, 25 May 2025)

True love, the Gospel reminds us, is given before it is reciprocated. It is an anticipatory gift. It is not based on what is received, but on what one wishes to offer.

(General Audience, 6 August 2025)
